My PTT Experience at Holma Folkhögskola in November 2025
Subjects such as Learning community, Adult Learners, Effective Teachers, Integration Day, Teaching Methods, and Bringing it All together – provided during 7 intense days with a group of wonderfully motived and beautiful teachers and students is still being absorbed in my bones – one month past. The curriculum was fully integrated, and we even spent two afternoons together online after the course to reflect, harvest ideas and talking about next steps.
I came “as I am” and I entered a safe space. The group was harmonious and eager to learn, share and impart wisdom from within, and I think I can speak for all of us, claiming that this experience was very special.
This Permaculture Teachers Training Course was provided by Alfred Decker, Andreas Johnsson and Cathrine Dolleris – all of whom have a long experience as Permaculture Teachers. The collaboration between them was swift, caring and wholesome and played a big part in providing a safe space for all.
Representing several countries and a variety of Permaculture experiences, we all came together to learn how to train and teach others about the Permaculture lifestyle. The course is based on teaching the individual as well as groups to perform micro teaching trainings, both in small groups and in front of the whole group, as the week proceeds. Everyone without exception learned how to design and plan micro teachings and got a sense of the bigger picture when having to plan PDC’s and other trainings in the future. Truly helpful and wisely taught by these 3 skilled teachers. The atmosphere was beautiful both inside and outside of class.
Holma Folkhögskola in southern Sweden provided the setting of the course, and with two smiling and smart cooks serving healthy, locally sourced meals, we were taken very good care of. The place is beautiful and holds so many examples of Permaculture Designs serving as a hub for ideas, inspiration and information to all interested in Permaculture.
I warmly recommend taking part in a PTT course, if you are looking to upgrade your skills to teach about Permaculture and your journey into a deeper understanding of the Permaculture Lifestyle.
